Live Wire Spotlight – Darlene Love on The Late Show with David Letterman (11:35 p.m. Friday, CBS)
It’s a Christmas tradition that goes back a couple decades (which, in television years, might as well be centuries). Since 1986, Darlene Love has been singing her holiday classic “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” on the last episode of David Letterman’s talk show to air before Christmas. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer (Love was inducted this year) has only skipped one year, due to the writer’s strike. She’ll do it for the 25th time this Friday.
