Prolific horror legend Stephen King recently shared what music he likes to listen to when he’s hard at work crafting his latest creepy classic. Apparently metal still looms large for the author.
“Metallica, Anthrax, I still listen to those guys…,” King told The Atlantic. “There’s a band called The Living Things that I like a lot. Very loud group.”
King then professed admiration for Judas Priest. He also discussed the music that doesn’t tend to inspire him.
“I never cared for Ozzy very much...,” he said. “[Black Sabbath] don’t really work for me.”
King has a short story in the new issue of The Atlantic, which is titled “Herman Wouk is Still Alive.”
